Rajeev Sadanandan

Rajeev Sadanandan has held many senior posts with the Government of India and Kerala, including that of the Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Chairman, KSEB, Director General of Labour Welfare in the Ministry of Labour, Government of India. He was the founding CEO of Health Systems Transformation Platform, a not-for-profit company specialising in health systems research. As the health secretary of Kerala for 11 years, he played a transformative role in reforming health systems in Kerala.

Rajeev was a Commissioner on the Lancet Global Health Commission on Financing Primary Health Care. He is currently a member of the Technical Advisory Panel of the Pandemic Fund set up by the World Bank; the Policy Makers Forum under the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research of the World Health Organisation, Geneva and the technical advisory committee of the WHO Collaborating Centre on Public Health and Social Measures, Oslo in addition to providing technical advice to many organisations in India and abroad. His research publications are mainly in the areas of health policy and systems, health economics and health emergencies.
