Young Innovator
Navika D Nair
While most kids her age were busy making reels, Navika D Nair was building robots. The 14-year-old from Naipunya Public School, Kochi, got hooked on coding with Scratch at seven. After the 2024 Wayanad landslides, she built Laura, a landslide warning and drone-rescue system that earned major recognition at Codeavour Challenge 2025. With her friend Cathlin, she won Best Technical Solution at WRO 2025, then WRO India Nationals 2026 with Smriti 1.0, which protects palm-leaf manuscripts. She dreams of building technology that keeps people safe and heritage alive. Driven by curiosity and empathy, she believes local problems deserve global solutions.
