Joseph Martin

Joseph Martin Chazhoor Francis is a sustainability leader with over four decades of global experience spanning sustainability strategy, ESG governance, climate action, digital transformation, and business innovation. As Chief Executive Officer of the Geojit CUSAT Center of Sustainability Studies, he leads the development of a multidisciplinary platform focused on research, education, innovation, consulting, and certification in sustainability.

His career includes leadership roles at PwC India, Saudi Aramco, Ernst & Young, Tata Consultancy Services, General Motors India, and FACT, where he delivered transformative sustainability and digital initiatives across the Middle East, Asia, and global markets. He also served on the Global Sustainability Standards Board of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

An expert in ESG performance, decarbonization, circular economy, and sustainable supply chains, Joseph has advised governments, regulators, and leading corporations while building capacity and advancing responsible business practices worldwide. He holds a B.Tech from National Institute of Technology Calicut and an MBA (First Rank) from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
