Dr Jino Joy

Dr Jino Joy, MD is a Consultant and Head of the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi. A Gold Medalist in MD Geriatric Medicine from Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, he is a passionate advocate for healthy ageing and innovative elder care. He received the Best Geriatrician Award at the International Healthy Ageing Conclave 2025 in recognition of his contributions to the field.

Dr Jino leads one of Kochi’s largest Healthy Ageing Clubs, bringing together hundreds of older adults through fitness programmes, cognitive activities, health awareness initiatives, and social engagement. His vision is to transform aging from a phase of vulnerability into one of vitality, purpose, and meaningful participation.

He is the Organising Secretary of GERICON 2026, the 23rd National Conference of the Indian Academy of Geriatrics, and Vice President of the Cochin Geriatrics Academy.

Beyond medicine, Dr Jino is an actor, scriptwriter, and theatre enthusiast who believes in the power of storytelling and creativity to connect people across generations. His work reflects a simple yet powerful philosophy: the goal is not merely to add years to life, but to add life, dignity, and meaning to every year.
