Dr P K Jabbar

Dr P. K. Jabbar is an endocrinologist, academician, and medical administrator who has served as Principal of Government Medical College, Ernakulam, and Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. With 17 years of administrative experience in government service, he has held several leadership positions, including President of the Endocrine Society of India and President and Secretary of RSSDI Kerala. He played a pioneering role in establishing the Department of Endocrinology at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, and initiating DM training in Endocrinology in Kerala. An accomplished researcher and postgraduate teacher, he has contributed to several medical textbooks, edited Ramadan and Diabetes, and published numerous papers in national and international indexed journals. He has also served as Principal Investigator for the INDIAB study and various clinical trials, making significant contributions to endocrinology research, medical education, and diabetes care.
